Enjoy your training! Ditch the pre-workout junk

In total contrast, 'training' sessions I do now are intended to relax my mind, inspire myself, and leave me feeling energized for the rest of the day. I find I can train for longer periods of time, and more frequently. This means that I burn FAR more calories/ fat than a 20 minute high intensity thrash out, and require far less time to recover. This means I can train a lot more! It just makes sense....

Believe it or not..... I actually enjoy training now, and can train happily 3 times in a day. Take today as an example, I cycled 40 minutes before work, went to the gym on the way home from work, and then cycled for 90 minutes with the focus purely on finding some pictures to show where I went. (see left and below)

In fact, I now think to myself, why exactly was I in such a rush beforehand? What was so important to get back to? Had my football manager campaign decided to carry on without me, and I was in risk of losing faith with the fans? Had the local takeaway reduced it kebab prices from £1.00 to 99p for a limited time only?

My advice experiencing both sides of this, is to first of all find ways to enjoy your exercise. This can be done by reducing the intensity, increasing the adventure element, or training with somebody else. This will in the long-term increase your gains, enjoyment and motivation levels. If your feeling lethargic just before a workout, then eat some simple sugar from ripe or dried fruit such as bananas or dates... it's that simple. You don't need to create something that Heisenberg himself would be proud of in order to get you through a workout!

Who would not want to train looking at this??
